New Years Resolutions 2011

January
1st

WOW, another year has passed.  Happy 2011 everyone!  New Years Eve is such a special time for me, it was the night my husband proposed to me!  That was 9 years ago, and I am so thankful I said yes!  I have a very wise husband, and as so blessed that he is very good with our finances and budgeting.  I am having him work on some spreadsheets for us all to use on here, to help us budget and save for the New Year!

Four years ago, Mark and I also made a huge change in the way that we managed our money.  I was working full time at a restaurant 5-6 nights per week, and wanted to stay at home with our son full time.  We had to make the decision to cut back our grocery budget from around $700 per month, to $200 per month.  This is where my coupon adventure began….  I would not recommend trying to cut back on your grocery budget so quickly, it was very hard but it was a necessity.

I have many resolutions for this website this year, many of which you will see roll out throughout the year.  My first resolution is that I would LOVE to see ‘I am THAT lady’ explode with growth.  If you could do anything for me this year, it would be to tell all of your friends about this site.  The top resolution that people make the first of the year, it to spend less money.  You can either email them my link, or suggest to your friends on Facebook.

I pray that you would take a long look at your finances this year, and that I can help you save more money this year than the last!
