Rite Aid: It’s OFFICIAL, new Coupon policy found here first!

May
25th

It is OFFICIAL.  I was just sent over a copy of the New Rite Aid coupon policy by one of our lovely readers!  This policy is effective immediately.

Here are the changes:

  1. Only (1) Coupon can be used per B1G1 FREE purchase, we may no longer use (2) coupons on these sales.  That means no more coupons on the FREE item :(
  2. You may not use a B1G1 FREE coupon along with a B1G1 FREE sale.
  3. Rite Aid may accept up to 4 identical coupons for the same number of qualifying items as long as their is sufficient stock within the store managers discretion.

I get the restriction on using a BOGO with a BOGO promotion but Im bummed about not being able to use 2 MAN coupons on a BOGO promotion!!

    • Amandagllp says:

i know i agree..bogo with a bogo…ok it sucks but not using two coupons on the bogo really sucks!

  2. I don’t understand why no BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale when the store gets paid from a manufacturer.  This just feels mean to customers when to a store, a coupon is cash tender.  Hmph!

  3. Coxter2 says:

I don’t care for te BOGO as much as the limit on 4 Man coupons? Is this in a single transaction or period????

  4. Paulie says:

We don’t have a Rite Aid close by so I’m glad I’m not a customer. If I were I’d be very pissed since pharmacy prices are already so marked up.

  5. Tess H. says:

Do you think the change comes now, after so many people have started to Coupon? Therefore the Company is loosing money? I don’t shop there often, because the prices are so high, but when I did, I enjoyed getting the items I purchased for very little to no cost at all.

    • Paulie says:

I think that’s a very good point that with the new entrants to couponing it’s impacting the bottom line.

  6. GUEST says:

Huge dislike! I may not shop there as much because of this! This doesn’t allow people to save as much money as they were and I feel like they are being greedy! Such is life.

  7. Not a fan. That’s definitely going to stop me from shopping there as often. They don’t double, and now that I can’t use two coupons on their BOGO sales (with inflated retail prices), it’s game over for me, most likely. Tops is the only store in my immediate area that still allowes two coupons on BOGO offers. I hope they don’t jump on the bandwagon! I *do* like the idea of limiting quantities, however. There’s a shelf-clearer or two in my area, and it drives me nuts.

    • Paulie says:

LOL@shel:disqusf clearer comment. they r everywhere even in my rural spot the shelves are often bare on these deals

  8. Had heard the rumors about the limit of 4 like coupons and no B1G1 coupon on a B1G1 sale but not the restriction of 2 coupons on a B1G1 sale. Kinda bummed about that one…

  9. whatsupwitthat says:

ShelfClearers procuring large quantities of coupon inserts,
for free, is where the shelf clearing starts. Stand up and do something!!!!!!

Illegal acquisition of coupon inserts must be stopped.

Please call and report these issues to :

Don’t forget to contact P&G , local newspaper offices,
    store managers and district managers.

Write the board of directors! The shelf clearers do!

We have to report newspaper carriers who are selling inserts
and the inside staff. Those coupons are supposed to be under lock and key. Very
    few have access to them.

It’s not that hard to track.

1,000 perfect inserts don’t show up in a dumpster each week
    per shelf clearer.
Just look on any city CraigsList and see all the sob stories from begging shelf clearers. They never mention that they sell them or use them to clear and then resell that free merchandise at flea markets. Some offer cash and trades of sports tickets to the carriers? Cash and sports tickets, the gas to go around chasing free coupons, but they are poor hmmmmmmmmmmm???

Please do your homework and report.

People steel peelies and then other couponers run and buy the stolen
items from the thief ON EBAY.
Hey which spelling is correct anyways?
    Peeliesteelers or peeliestealers

Same thing with tear pad thieves. The take whole tearpads, sell
them on Ebay and people go PAY for this stolen item.

Newspaper carriers, newspaper staff, and others steal coupons
then sell them through clipping services. This is illegal and starts the fraud
    ball rolling.

It always amazes me that people complain about not getting their
coupons in their paper but then are the first to say go to the crook
    wholesalers to get them guaranteed.
Nothing like a crook with a guarantee I
    guess?!

Where do you think coupon sellers, coupon clippers, ebay coupon
    sellers get their coupons????
Hmmmmmmmmmmm

  10. Kirsten says:

Not sure if it will help or not but I just sent a customer feedback email to Rite Aid letting them know how I felt about the changes to their coupon policy.  I don’t mind the 4 like coupon limit but the restriction on B1G1 sales will effectively keep me away in the future.  Sincere, calm, rational reactions from customers could never hurt, right?

  11. Foxchryl says:

Yesterday, I could not use two spam video value coupons on one transaction. The register would not scan the second one. That never happened in the past. They are from two v.v.accounts, not reprints.

  12. nikki says:

i cant stand rite aid. that store is the last store i would shop at. it has to be a really good deal for me to go there. i prefer walgreens over rite aid.

  13. Jodi says:

I can definitely already “feel” a difference with the new coupon policy.  First thing cashier did @ register was tell me she needed to see my coupons and she then showed me the new coupon policy posted @ register.  She looked thru all coupons before even ringing anything up!  Yikes.  I still made out very well, but am disappointed in the what I consider a downgrade in their coupon friendliness.  I must say if it weren’t for coupons, I would not shop Rite Aid they are extremely pricey.

  14. coupon3333 says:

Question; Using a $3/$15 paper plates are in ad bogo free $3.49
subtotal of transaction was $15.04 the register took off the free paperplate, before any coupons dropping my total down, so i couldn’t use my $3/15. In the beginning of the week, i did the same transaction, and had no problems. called customer service, they said that the free one should be subtracted first before coupons. ???? The riteaid policy says nothing that i can see about how this should be handled! any input would help. thank you! Are they making rules as they go?????? or am i missing something?
