Earn Amazon Gift cards with the new Wikets App!

Wikets is a new FREE iPhone App that is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It combines social media along with the recommendation of products. places, and things to your friends/followers.  The idea behind the App is that people would much rather see what their trustworthy friends recommend, than to read a random review on a website; thus the idea of Wikets was born – ‘The Simply rewarding way to share your best recommendations.” You earn points by recommending products, songs, restaurants & more to your friends, you gain even more points when your friends re-rec them to their friends.  You cash these points in for gift cards like a $25 Amazon gift card = 2,500 points!

Here is how it works:

1.) Download Wikets in the App Store here, use promo code iamthatlady when prompted. (The promo code will give you a 200 point bonus!)

2.) Sign into your Wikets account, you can also choose to Login with your Facebook or Twitter Accounts.  You will earn 200 points just for signing up and an additional 200 points for using the promo code iamthatlady .

3.) Start recommending products.  You earn points by people re-rec ing your recommendations.  You can see in the screen shot above that these are people that I am following, if I choose to recommend their product to my friends, they earn points.  You can also give your friends/followers points by re-rec ing your friends recommendations.  The more friends you follow, the more re-rec’s you can get, so make sure you tell your friends to sign up using promo code iamthatlady so they can get their 200 bonus points!

For example:

Let’s say I recommend the Sophia Teething Giraffe sold by Amazon (a product which my teething daughter is currently IN LOVE WITH) on Wikets.  It allows my friends/followers to see that this is a great product, they re-recommend it to their friends and I get points!  If they purchase the Sophia Teething Giraffe through my recommendation I earn even more points.  These points collect over time and you can trade them in for gift cards!

My personal views:

At first I was VERY confused by the concept of this App.  I realized after using it for a week that the reason that I didn’t understand the concept was because I was expecting it to be super confusing and technical.  It is actually the opposite, it is very simple and easy to use!  I have earned over 600 points in the past 6 days (which is 1/5 of a way to a $25 Amazon gift card.)  This is a great easy way to find out what your friends think are valuable products and also a way to earn Amazon gift cards for doing very little work!
