Aldi now carries organic products – WHAT?!?!

Did you hear that Aldi is now carrying a line of Organic products – I was shopping there yesterday and was SO excited to see a LOT of organic products are very decent prices!

Aldi Organic 32 oz Yogurt $2.99

Organic Raw milk Cheese for $3.49

Aldi organic Soy Milk

There was a variety of Organic Dairy Products, my favorite was the Organic Yogurt since I usually buy it for around $4.99 per 32 oz. at Price Chopper.  It was actually VERY delcicious, I had some for breakfast this morning with fresh blueberries (also from Aldi), and it was fabulous!

There was also a wide variety of Organic Snack foods  – many of them happened to be gluten-free which made me happy!!!! Not all the Simply Nature foods are labeled Organic so you have to make sure you are checking the labels.  These chips were not organic, but were amazing and gluten-free!  They even said Celiac Friendly on the package :)

Aldi Gluten-Free Sweet Potato Chips

I also found some frozen foods – pizzas, Steel Cut Oats, and microwave lunch/dinners.  Some were organic and some were not, but both were labeled with they new Simply Nature label.

We also found Organic Apple juice for only $2.99 per bottle, organic fruit snacks for the kids, Organic Carrot Sticks, AND I found some Gluten-Free Chicken Nuggets!  One of you told me about these, and I can’t wait to try them!

Aldi Gluten-Free Chicken Nuggets

I ended up buying Organic Apple juice, two pints of blueberries, four boxes of organic fruit snacks, a box of Jennie-O Turkey burgers (on special for $5.99), Gluten Free Chicken Nuggets, Organic Yogurt, Two bags of chips, and a goat cheese and cranberry cheese ball. It cost me around $40.00 which is a lot for me at Aldi, but I wanted to try everything I could :)

My Aldi shopping trip – Spent $40.00

Disclaimer: I was given a $25 Aldi gift card to go on this shopping trip.  All opinions are 100% my own.

Ladies, eating clean means you understand what clean is. Organic processes foods are just as bad as inorganic foods. Meals should consist of lots of veggies and protein, why switch to organic pizza from conventional pizza. You must understand nutrition and just because its organic it does not make it better.

Love Aldi’s. Had the chicken nuggets my daughter loved them(me not so much) but thats ok.
Read all their labels they have items marked gluten free that contain oats which are not gf. But other wise I love them.

I passed on the organic apple juice because the concentrate is from China. I try to avoid juices where the concentrate comes from China, Argentina, etc. I try to buy only bottled juice that uses concentrate from USA and/or Canada. This was always a pet peeve of mine even before the reports came out last year that apple juice concentrate made in other countries had high levels of arsenic in it.

Please let us know how everything tastes though! Happy you found some gluten free stuff there.

Hello, I am wondering…what kind of organic produce was available? You mentioned carrots, but anything else? I would love some slightly cheaper organic produce. My regular smaller chain grocery store is killing me. Thanks for the great post!

I was also pleasantly surprised to see the organic foods…starting the eat clean diet…Also the sweet potato chips are great, the chips with the other flavors are pretty salty.
