DIY Friday: Handmade Valentine’s

February
3rd

Here on ‘I am THAT Lady’ I love to teach you how to save money on EVERYTHING, which is why I bring you a weekly DIY series, to help keep costs low in every area of your life.

This week’s DIY post is just in time for Valentine’s Day!  Fancy Little Things shows us how to make 5 different Valentine’s, and each one is ridiculously cute.  I love the simple look of them.  The use of buttons and felt gives them a 3D quality, which takes them up a notch from the usual handmade Valentine’s cards.

Inexpensive Kids Quiet Time Idea – Sorting Game

February
2nd

I was looking for something different to do with my daughter, Hannah, the other morning.  I remembered that I used to play a sorting game with my son when he was 2.  I decided to get out some supplies and put together a sorting game that didn’t cost me anything, and she played with it for over an hour.

I took some things that I had lying around the house and put them in some small tupperware jars that I had gotten for Free a few months ago.

I took (2) Different paper clip colors, some stickers, and some beads.  Then I mixed them up on the table and she sorted them into each cup.

You can do this with any supplies laying around the house, and I find that when there are times that I need to get some cleaning done, having crafts like this on hand make those tasks so much easier.

You can go to the Dollar store and get pom-poms, goggly eyes, beads, and many more items too!

What are some inexpensive kids crafts or games that you have for your kids?

Think this is a great idea – Why not ‘Pin It’ Below!
