How many oz. is a bag of broccoli? I buy the huge bag from BJ’s and that’s all I have! This looks yummy!

Can’t wait to try this – do you have any idea if this would freeze well? I live alone and that’s a lot of casserole – I’d probably eat on it all week :-) TFS

Made this a few nights ago, it was really good! We used brown rice. And next time, I’ll probably use use less ‘cream of’ soup and more water; with the roux it ended up a bit too rich! Super easy though, will def make again.

Same question about the ruex, wait til closer to serving, or start as soon as you start the crockpot? Also, I don’t have a microwave, should I steam the broccoli or cook it in water?

Step number three is to cook the chicken for 4-5 hours (btw, this takes longer if they are frozen.) The steps for the roux are AFTER the chicken has already cooked for 4-5 hours. If you did the roux beforehand, the whole thing would burn.

Getting ready to make up some freezer meals and have a question
Can I cook this up and then freeze in separate containers? What would I do before freezing.
