Good starting advice, except I think you should make an annual budget first, then break it down into the months. This way you include and can see all the “sinking fund” items that need to be paid in a lump sum once or twice a year and can break them out into how much to put aside for them each month. (The sinking fund sidebar needs to be on the first page and you should look ahead a year for those!).
Good advice about not overwithholding your taxes. You do not need to be giving the irs an interest free loan or using it as a vacation fund.
I’m also excited about Dave’s roll out of his new Custom College Guide. This will be a critical tool for navigating the FAFSA and making smart choices
