My Operation Christmas Cash 2012 Update
Posted at 3:00 PM by I am THAT Lady: Lauren
I hope many of you who opted to join our year long Operation Christmas Cash 2012 have seen some progress towards having your Christmas Fund in place by November of 2012. I promised you that I would check in at the last day of every month with my personal progress towards my goal. I have been pretty pleased this month to save up so much extra money, I am still trying to find creative ways to put more money towards my Christmas Fund this year. I have opted out of taking many surveys this just because of how much time it takes in running this website, but there are still many creative ways to earn extra cash.
Here is what I have towards my Christmas Fun this year already:
Total in Savings so far: $186.69
√$30 check from Kohls.com for Mail in Rebate from items purchased on Black Friday
√ $18.69 in Rebates from Prevacid
√ $10 Check from Magazines.com
√ $68.10 from Opinion Outpost surveys (I have been keeping my money in there for a while.)
√ $50 FREE from ING Direct from Opening up a FREE ING Checking account.
√ $10 in Amazon gift cards from Swagbucks
Toys added to my gift closet so far:
How are you doing with your Christmas Fund so far? I would love to hear the great deals you have scored or creative ways to earn some extra cash! Why not join us on this monthly adventure?

Comments:
$25 amazon from swagbucks, just $10 from varies rebates, have several that i have sent and waiting to come back.
Last January, one of the drug store chains offered 75% off toys. My husband and I went out one Saturday and got $800 worth of toys to give to Toys for Tots for $200. Just wish I had more storage space!
Good idea!
I have not been able to participate in this program. My husband has been out of work and finally just got disability approved after a year. Now that that money will be coming in I came up with a couple of unconventional ideas to save money. Number one. After a day of running around doing errands and picking up stuff, I will put all change and $1 bills in a jar. Should add up pretty quickly. Also will continue couponing and when shopping, if my Price Chopper receipt says I saved $30 with coupons I will take that money that I saved and also put that aside. Hope this works for us!!
I have been doing the swagbucks for a couple months and have earned $50 worth of $5 amazon gift cards (just by doing the daily poll and search & win everyday) it literally takes two minutes in the morning while I am sipping my coffee! Thanks Lauren for informing me about swagbucks! I, of course, am saving the giftcards for christmas
