I have some great news for busy Price Chopper shoppers!  Price Chopper has enrolled a new program called Advantage E-Coupons, these are brand new electronic coupons that are uploaded to your store card.  I had the opportunity to go and try out how it works today and here is what I found out.

You upload the Advantage E-Coupons from this website https://pcny.zavers.com/, make sure you have your Advantage card ready, you will have to enter it in when you sign up.  These are FREE to use and SUPER Easy!

Here are some easy steps on how these work:

1.) Visit https://pcny.zavers.com to sign up.

2.) Register your AdvantEdge Card and choose “Price Chopper Northeast” as your retailer.

3.) Save the Advantage E-Coupons to your card.   You can see that the ones below I have already saved.

4.) Print off a shopping list from the Advantage E-Coupon website https://pcny.zavers.com/.  This will have all the current E-savers coupon offers on the list, so that you make sure you get the right items and sizes to qualify for the E-coupon. I brought my list with me to the store and it was very handy to be able to see exactly what I needed to purchase.

5.) Scan your AdvantEdge card at checkout, and your coupon will automatically be taken off at the register.  No scanning coupons or clipping required, it is very easy!

*You can see the 25¢ taken off under the Coupons & Savings Line in the picture above.  This is how it will show at the register.* It may be harder to see what you have saved with the E-Coupons after you add your paper coupons, but you can see below they are easy to track on the receipt.

You can see in my receipt above that the Advantage E-Coupon is called  ‘ZVR $OFF Bounty’ (highlighted in green), this will help you keep track of your e-coupons and make sure that they have been applied correctly.  Also note that there was no size exclusion on the coupon, so I got the $1.00 smaller package which ended up costing me only 75¢!

Here are some questions that I know you will have:

Q: Do the AdvantEdge E-Coupons double?

A: No they do not double and will ring up at face value.

Q:  Can I use a paper Manufacturer coupon on the same item that I use the AdvantEdge E-Coupon?

A: AdvantEdge e-Coupons are taken off your total first, before paper coupons, so if you have a paper coupon and a digital coupon for the same item, you won’t be able to use the paper coupon on that transaction.

Q: Can I use a Price Chopper ZSaver coupon along with a SavingsStar coupon?

A: SavingStar ‘coupons’ are not traditional coupons where you receive the discount at the register. When you save the ‘coupon’ to your account and purchase the item in-store, your SavingStar account will accrue the savings. You can choose how you want to receive your savings- on an Amazon gift card, in your Pay Pal account, or directly deposited in your checking account. These ‘coupons’ will have no impact on your ability to use an AdvantEdge e-Coupon.

Q: The Store coupon tab on the E-coupon website, does this mean that this will go into the register as a Price Chopper Store coupon that I can stack with a manufacturer coupon? Or does this mean it is a manufacturer coupon specific for Price Chopper stores?

A: The Store Coupon tab is for offers that are specific to Price Chopper. The Brand Coupon tab is for national manufacturer offers. If you had a store card to A&P or Bilo, for example, these offers would be available for you to load to their store cards.

Q: How many times can a coupon be used?

A: The number of times a coupon can be used is up to the manufacturer, but most coupons can be used once. Once you have used the coupon it will disappear from the list of your available coupons.

If you have any more question, they have a very helpful FAQ page that you can find here.

What do you think about these? Will you use them?

Thanks for testing it out. I signed up this past weekend and was just waiting for an announcement! It is too bad we can’t stack, I guess it is just more resources for coupons! I do hope the selection gets better, which I am sure over time it will!

Just curious…. Can you pick and choose what coupons you want loaded to your card and delete coupons you no longer want loaded? My reason for the question is for example : You bought the bounty and the savings was .25 off I have two different paper coupons that are better deals. One .25 that can be doubled and one .50 that can be doubled…if the card is loaded with the .25 coupon I am not going to save as well as if I never loaded the card. I think if we have access to load and unload as we need to so not to void our better value paper coupons, this will be a great new way to save.

Thank You for posting this. I did see this on Facebook and I did sign up for it. It does not clarify if the “Store Coupon” is stackable with a manufactures coupon. Since most store coupons Are stackable, it almost seems we are going backwards with this.
Yes this is good, if the coupon is for more than a dollar, and it’s something you are sure your not going to purchase more than one item. It’s great for my in-laws, who really don’t purchase a lot and when they do go shopping, almost always forget their coupons (comes with age). They usually don’t buy more than 1 item of something and will spend their entire evening over dinner having a debate on “where all the deductions” came from.* I’ll end up putting coupons on their account for them, to save them some money on their fixed social security income, also because they haven’t a clue how to use a computer. So for the seniors, Great for them, but for people who shop for big families, I don’t think this is so great, at least I don’t think I’ll save as much, with the limitations of “no doubling”. I’ll get the same item elsewhere, cheaper and with a doubled coupon.

The thing that concerns me is how this will affect the 50% rule. If your ecoupons come off before your paper coupons then you have a higher chance of reaching the 50% before using up your doubling coupons, especially on smaller trips.

So If I save coupons from the Store Coupons Tab onto my AdvantEdge Card, does that mean i can also use paper manufactured coupons for the same item? Like stack them?
