Valentine’s Day Crafts: The “Why I Love You” Placemat

Valentine’s Day is often thought of as a day of romance or a chance to fall head-over-heels in love with that special someone, but it’s also a day to show affection for other loved ones in your life. Parents, friends, aunts and uncles. Kids, too. We love our kids unconditionally, and February 14th is just one of 365 days that we should take during the year to show them how much we care.
Today’s Valentine’s Day craft – the “Why I Love You” Placemat – will show your children the many reasons why you love them. Got a kiddo who’s “smart as a hoot owl” or “cuter than a kitten?” Then this placemat is for you!
To download either of the placemats below, click on the image to enlarge it. Once enlarged, right click the image and select “Save Image As” to save it to your computer. Then you can print it!
To download the one below go here.
Of course, we all have different reasons for loving our kids, so feel free to print out the blank placemat below and fill in your own five loving statements. What will you write on your child’s placemat? Feel free to share some ideas with a comment!
All that’s left is to prepare one of your child’s favorite meals. Instructions for the example below – Be My Valentine Pancakes – can be found here. Enjoy, and don’t forget to follow this meal with plenty of hugs and kisses!
