Welcome NBC viewers – I am so happy to have you here!  My name is Lauren and I am the blogger behind ‘I am THAT lady’. Once in $40,000 worth of debt at the age of 26, I knew that I had to make some big changes in my life. After making those changes and becoming debt free, I now aim to teach others how to do the same.  I teach my tips right here on this website through money saving articles, budgeting tips and tricks, DIY and frugal tips, and deals on online stores. You can read more about my story on how I was able to get out of debt here.

Today on NBC news I shared 10 frugal Valentine’s Day gifts – because you really don’t have to spend a lot of money on the people that you love on this special day.  I have 3 young children and LOVE to make this day a special one for them as well!

You can also wait until February 15th and get normal priced flowers and cheep chocolates/stuffed animals. That’s what I do. If you are good at remembering where you put things you can also buy Valentine’s Day cards after February 14 for the next year. I get Easter egg dye and gingerbread houses for the next year after the holiday. Just don’t but gingerbread houses a year before if you plan on eating them; my family just decorates them and then gives them to the birds!
